The world of Scratch has grown significantly since the authoring environment and online community were launched five years ago. Mitch Resnick and Karen Brennan of the MIT Scratch Team open the conference with a conversation about the evolution of the Scratch community, and about their hopes for the conference.

 This is my first time on the site.  Great introductory video!   Now I am getting hooked.  Will there be another conference this year?

Hi Cynthia,

The Scratch Team isn't hosting a conference this year. (Those are every other year -- 2008, 2010, 2012.)

But a group of European Scratch educators are organizing an event in Barcelona.
